On the road again–
just can’t wait to get on the road again,
The life I love is making music with my friends . . .
–Willie Nelson, “On the Road Again”
The only people for me are the mad ones . . .
–Jack Kerouac, On the Road

THESE DAYS, my head is filled with the gravelly voice of Willie Nelson singing “On the Road Again.” We are alike, Willie and I, and not just because we both sport a long braid or two; like Willie, I am constantly on the road. While I fantasize about living in some ancestral home, sipping tea next to a wall of old books and only going places in my head, life hasn’t exactly worked out that way. There’s the Willie-in-me to contend with: edgy, discontent, succumbing to novelty and Blue Skies.
Patricia – this is so right on and meets me right where I am at this moment – forget that I love and sing On The Road Again all the time, it just hits us where we live. We are soooo with you! As one of my friends always said (and it stuck with me) “Home is where you go out from” – and that seems to fit as well. I am praying CBV will be saved and you will not lose your home as it isn’t over yet! Much love and hugs,Joan
Thank you, Joan! I hope to see you in the great Southwest!
Well said Patrica, very well said! God speed & happy Fat Soul journey home, literally & emotionally for you, Ron, & Monet! We love you all three & can’t wait to meet for tea :). You have been missed!
Thank you, Vickie! Can’t wait to be home. Look forward to seeing you and David as soon as possible. Love to both of you–and all the kitties, too!
